Diocesan Library Münster
28 April 2022 until 24 June 2022
The Diocesan Library in Münster presented selected exhibits from its music collection in a way that builds a bridge to the works of the architect Max Dudler. The point of departure was Mozart’s score of Die Zauberflöte/The Magic Flute, along with Karl Friedrich Schinkel’s stage designs for the opera. The “starry dome” of the Queen of the Night served Max Dudler as a source of inspiration for his Museumsinsel Metro Station in Berlin. Presented among other things were models and photographs of projects through which Max Dudler has engaged with the theme of building in historical contexts.
