From the jury's assessment:
The authors describe the façade in their report as a monolithic natural-stone façade — a façade seemingly carved from a single piece. In fact, the building achieves an impression of maximum homogeneity, presenting the image of a jointless façade that perfectly corresponds to its minimalist form. The material, German Jura limestone with a water-blasted finish, takes on a subtle reddish hue, reminiscent of the last shimmer of Wiesbaden's historic brick buildings. Pilasters and horizontal bands of the façade oscillate between structure and mass, lending it a timeless quality, further reinforced by its classical tripartite composition.
The new residential tower at Kureck in Wiesbaden is an outstanding example of the continued development of the European city, an exemplary model of high-quality housing, and, in the truest sense of the word, a model example of the use of natural stone.
