BDA AWARD FOR EXCELLENT BUILDINGS

The BDA honoured the Diözesanbibliothek Münster with the Excellence in Buildings in Münster Award in 2006.

Jury statement:
The design bolsters the existing urban development situation in the district around the Überwasserkirche. It places new buildings and existing ones in strict orthogonal order, in contrast to the surrounding Medieval city structure, but at the same time creating  well-considered references, as a result of the arrangement of the buildings.
