ARCHITECTURE AS AN INSTRUCTION BASED ART

Druker Design Gallery, Graduate School of Design, Harvard University
August 26 to October 14 2024

The Druker Design Gallery hosted an exhibition of drawings used to coordinate the construction process, drawings that reflect the nature of architecture as an "instructional" art.
The exhibition showcased the art of architects and what they specifically do to realize a building with its many architectural qualities. This is distinct from the many other activities involved in the practice of architecture, such as promoting their ideas through images, maquettes, drawings, or paintings.

Max Dudler presented a detailed 1:50 scale construction drawing of the first floor of the Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm Center in Berlin, Germany.
